The History of Springfield Steel Buildings
Springfield Steel Buildings has a rich history that dates back to 2005, when it was created by Managing Director John Davis. John Davis is a well-known figure in the construction industry, having gained a vast amount of experience in his previous roles in the Royal Engineers as a civil engineer. He then went on to work for several construction companies as a consultant, project engineer, and contracts manager.
During the period of 2009/2010, John was asked to work as a contracts manager and project engineer on a project that involved supplying 60 cold-rolled steel buildings in just 6 months for the first Bahrain International Airshow 2010. The steelwork, cladding, and fixtures for this project were all manufactured in the UK and shipped to Bahrain in 200 x 40’ steel open-topped containers.
The Turning Point
This project marked a turning point for John and was the foundation for Springfield Steel Buildings. Upon his return from Bahrain, John established the company under the trade name Springfield Steel Buildings, utilising the technology of cold-rolled steel.
Since then, Springfield Steel Buildings has grown into a leading supplier of steel buildings in the UK and beyond. The company’s expertise in cold-rolled steel technology, combined with John’s extensive experience in the construction industry, has enabled Springfield Steel Buildings to deliver high-quality and cost-effective steel buildings to its customers.
